My submission to the design team this week is a simple one. 

Using the stamp set, Winter Post, I created a graphic & bold 5" x 5" card. 

Card Details

• Trim Kraft card stock to 10" x 5", score down the middle
• Adhere a 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" piece of designer paper to the Kraft base - (I used Merry Moments designer paper on my card)
  
• Stamp your images on 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" squares
• Trim colored mats to 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"
  
• Adhere stamped images to colored mats using Stampin' Dimensionals
• Add a bit of shine or bling with a brad on one square
  
• Place each square on top of the designer paper
• Done!

I have been dying to use the Holiday Lounge designer paper.

With it's funky, bold, and retro patterns - it's a collection I knew I needed for this holiday season.

Using a fun envelope portfolio idea I CASE'd from my friend, Kim, I made this simple set of note cards.

This is a very quick project - go ahead and make a few card sets for friends & family!  One of the best gifts in my mind is one that is handmade and comes from the heart.

The tags were created using the Two Tags Bigz die, Tea Party DSP, and a variety of Stampin' Up! holiday stamp sets.

I am loving these non-traditional holiday colors.  I can't wait to give this away as an early Christmas gift.

Top Note Tags

These custom tags were LOADS of fun to make!!  Especially because I was making them for special members of my family.  These were created for my brother, sister-in-law, nephews, and niece (who's due in January).

I used my Top Note die along with some Stampin' Up! punches and a few Cuttlebug embossing folders to create each tag.  I am very happy with the way these turned out - especially considering I made them all last night in less than 2 hours (along with 4 more that I haven't photographed yet).

First time for everything!

I participated in the Kristen Werner Color Challenge for the first time!  I've always followed her blog and watched others participate, but I just never felt "good enough" to join in the fun.

So, I decided that it's just time to jump right in!  I LOVED the colors and just couldn't resist trying them out.   See the color inspiration to the right.  YUMMY, right??

For my Kreations, I decided to whip up some 3 x 3 gift cards/tags using the "Winter Post" stamp set.  I started by using the snowflake image to test the color combo out. 

I really liked the effect and decided to carry it through with the deer and skaters stamp.  Kind of reminds me of retro printed wrapping paper. 

Do you think these cards are worthy of the challenge?  I hope so ... because I'm off to submit my entry now.

Go Big Red!

Over the weekend, I did some much needed Christmas shopping. 

I didn't get much stamping done... but the days are running out for me to buy gifts for friends & family.  So, a girl's gotta do, what a girl's gotta do! 

As much as I would love to make hand-made gifts for everyone, I just don't have the time to devote to that right now.  BUT I do have time to make some really cute packaging for the gifts. 

I found this really cute Bucky Badger necklace at the Cracker Barrel Store.  It's perfect for the recipient as she's a big fan of the Wisconsin Badgers.  Go Big Red!

Sticking true to Bucky, I went with the red theme.  I used the Top Note die to punch out a houndstooth patterned paper from the Holiday Treasures Collection.  Adding some felt flurries (found in the Holiday Mini Catalog) and a half pearl from the pretties kit make this packaging pop.

The little box was made using this template that I found over at Confessions of a Ribbon Addict.  This "boxy bag" is covered in another pattern from the Holiday Treasures collection.  A bit of Alpine ribbon (Holiday Mini) ties the box together at the top.

Whatcha' Think?  I think it's so cute that I may have a hard time giving it away.

Frosty Day Gift Set

Today, I am sharing with you another shot of the box that includes a peek at some treat holders.  I am also going to show you the other two cards that I created for this gift set.

The card pictured right, featuring Kiwi Kiss, uses a Vanilla Hodgepodge sentiment frame.  Isn't it a cool way to showcase the stamp from "Winter Post"? 

Pictured below is the other shot of the gift box.  You'll notice three little treat holders.  I die cut three different patterns of the Frosty Day DSP using the Top Note Die. 

To make the treat holders, I simply folded the Top Notes in half, punched a hole in the side using a Crop-o-Dile, and threaded some pretty ribbon through each one.  Inside each one you'll find two Bogdon's dark chocolate covered peppermint sticks (found mine at Walgreens).  What a quick and easy gift!

Me - In the Spotlight

Longer post than normal today - but I hope you stick around to read and enjoy my Kreations. 

I am honored to say that I am guest stamper over at Stampin' Pretty today.  Mary's work is nothing short of amazing.  Every day, I visit her blog (OK, stalk her blog) to see what magical creation is just waiting to be admired.  Take a peek at her site, I know you'll find something to inspire you.

I created this box (tutorial found here) using Close to Cocoa card stock to hold size A2 (regular size) cards.  Scroll down to see what's inside!  When I was thinking about the project I wanted to create for my day in the spotlight - I knew I wanted to do something related to Christmas.

You may have noticed by now that I don't lean towards traditional holiday colors.  So, I figured - why stray now?  I reached for my Frosty Day Designer Series Paper (DSP), which coordinates with Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss (both In Colors), Bashful Blue (Soft Subtles) and Close to Cocoa (Earth Elements).

Voila!, I had a color palate to work with and I was off to create.  TIP:  If you want help coordinating your Stampin' Up! DSP with cardstock, check out this handy reference sheet.  I use it almost every time I stamp.

I made a total of four coordinating cards to go inside the box.  Featured here are two of the four (the other two will be posted tomorrow).

Using the "Winter Post" stamp set, and "Old Saint Nick" rub-on's, I created these Kwik & Kool cards.

If you look closely (click to enlarge) you'll notice I even used a rub-on snowflake on the Bashful Blue brad.  Added touch for a "wow" effect.

NOTE:  Over the next few days, I'll have the other two cards to show you along with the other "goodies" that are inside the gift box.

"Post Card"

I participated in the Splitcoaststampers color challenge yesterday (CC193).  The challenge was to use Real Red, Kraft & Basic Black.

At first, I thought ... what in the world am I going to do with this combo?  But after I started to play using the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper (DSP), I was able to quickly come up with this result. 

This simple (kwik & kool) gift set is yet another that I'll gift this Christmas.  The post card is a flat piece of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Kraft card stock.  I thought it would be a cute alternative to a full card. 

The silver tin (non-Stampin' Up!) bottom is covered in a matching print from the Ski Slope collection.  Inside, the recipient will find sweet Sno Caps.  I tied off a piece of Kraft taffeta ribbon and topped that off with a few circle punches and a bit of bling.

Very basic - but I think striking at the same time. 

I used the stamp set, "Winter Post" on the post card.  I love that little deer and cannot wait to turn him into Rudolph!

Pink Promotion!
