Butterfly Bling

With many June birthday's approaching, I decided to make some simple butterfly birthday cards.  You'll notice on these cards that there is very little stamping.  Only the sentiment in the lower right corner is actually stamped, making these cards so easy; Kwik & Kool!

I used two different designer series paper collections for the butterflies, Sweet & Sour Specialty and Blueberry Crisp.  Both papers are on the Last Chance List, so if you love these DSP collections (or any of your other favorites), BUY THEM NOW before it's too late.

Minnie & Mickey Get "Punched"

We'll be going to see Minnie & Mickey very soon!

I thought my Niece, Nephews and Son would enjoy some custom-made autograph books to capture signatures from all their favorite characters.  I thought back to the good old days, when we'd cover our books with paper bags.  I found this great tutorial to remind me how to create one and then coverted the idea into Crumb Cake cardstock.  Worked like a charm!!

Aren't they cute?  These Minnie's and Mickey's were super easy to make using a few Stampin' Up! punches.

• The body made from the 2 1/2" circle punch, same with the "pants" (I just punched 1/2 a circle).
• The ears are made from the 1 1/4" circle punch.  I punched into the body using the 1 1/4" punch to custom fit the ears, I didn't want any overlap.  
• The pant buttons are made with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  
• For Minnie, I used the small heart punch to create a bow.  
• I used the Decorative Label Punch to frame "2011", which was simply printed on regular copy paper.

A skinny rubber band wrapped around the notebook secures a pen.  It fit perfectly!  I was so excited.  I kept the notebooks simple for little hands (ages 2, 6, 7 & 10).  

The first time my son, Devlin went to Disney World, he was about 3 1/2.  Here he is - not so sure what to think of those big monsters!  I love the look on his face, he is such a character himself.

Happy Birthday, Scott!

Today, I share with you a kwik and kool birthday card created for a special uncle.

Now - I first have to apologize to him because the card is still sitting here on my desk.  I know I sent a belated card last year, too - I need to get on the ball!

I had a fun time playing with the little squares and arranging them "just so".  Pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

Peaceful

A simple (kwik & kool) card that I sent as a thank you.

I really love how this turned out.  The sentiment "seasons greetings" can be used AFTER the holidays.  My rule of thumb is if there is still snow on the ground, it is still considered the "season". It may help to know that I live in wintery Wisconsin!  BRRR!

Enjoy the season, wherever you live.

I haven't posted in quite some time - but that's because I haven't stamped in a while either. 

This card set was created for my little guy, Devlin.  My husband & I got away to Las Vegas over Thanksgiving break and when I'm away for an extended period of time, I always make a card a day for Devlin.

These little 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" thank you notes would be perfect to tuck in a lunch bag, send along to your childs teacher, or slip into a gift bag.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

I created this card back in June for Father's Day.

It went to my father-in-law who enjoys foxes and I thought stamping the F from Vintage Vogue would be a cute touch.

This card reminds me of the movie, Fantastic Mr. Fox.  Such a fun stop-motion animated movie.  Our whole family really enjoyed watching it together.

I've been missing out on stamping time lately (and blogging time), but hope to get back into the swing of things very soon.

Because I Care

A really simple card I created with the Because I Care, Hostess Level 1 set.

I love the way this turned out... such great detail in the big hydrangea stamp.

This card was made for my Mother-in-Law as a thank you from my husband.  They recently took a road trip to New Jersey so that my husband could take a guitar lesson.  He bought her an iPad so that she could finally learn how to access email and the Internet on her own.  She enjoyed playing with the iPad and all of the fun apps on the long drive.

I'll be bringing my iPad with me to Utah next week for Stampin' Up!'s Convention.  So stay tuned - I hope to post some fun photos while I'm out there.  I can't wait!!
