This is a card that I made at the Stampin' Up! Regionals event in Minnesota a few weekends ago.

Well, I should say I started the card at Regionals and finished it off at home.  These are not colors that I would typically put together, but I really love how it turned out.  It's always great when you go outside your "stamping box", isn't it?

I've been lucky enough this year to say that I'll attend 2 Stampin' Up! events.  #1 - Regionals and #2 - Convention in August. 

Today is the day I register for Convention - and I'm SO excited!  My stomach is doing flip flops just thinking about it and I have months to wait before the big trip.  I wonder if I'll have any fingernails left by then.  :)

For a Pre-Teen

My step-son, Robert, is turning 12 on March 25th ... and I thought the Rockabilly DSP would match his style perfectly (click photo to enlarge, you can see the DSP much better this way).

He is a big fan of Tony Hawk brand clothing - which features skulls, crossbones, and skater images throughout the collection.

I participated in three challenges for this card

1)  Mojo Monday Sketch - Week 78

2)  Splitcoast Color Challenge (CC210)

3)  The Pals (group of fellow demonstrators) challenge to use Splitcoast color challenge CC210 and a Pals twist - to use ribbon on your card.

Just a note:  There is a reason for the short post - I am in the process of moving.  So, I may be a bit scarce over the next few weeks. 

This weekend is the final move, however, there is a lot (and I mean A LOT) of cleaning, organizing, and then resting to do.

I'll do my best to keep on top of posting - but hope you'll understand if I'm not as present as I'd like to be.  We'll see how the week plays out - wish me luck!

Chocolate, Coffee & Men - Oh My!

I am not a coffee drinker, never have been ... but the stamp set Sip by Sip just might change that.

Of all my new sets, I am enjoying this one the most.  I think it's the perfect set for creating hand-made gifts.  I mean, seriously, how many people do you know drink coffee?

With a friends birthday coming up, I decided to sit down and participate in the Splitcoast challenge from today (TLC208).  I created this cute little round top box to coordinate with my "chocolate, coffee, and men" card I made two nights ago.

I only wish you could see the bronze cardstock glisten in this photo.  There is a strip of it on both the card and the box.  The new Taste of Textiles has been a blast to work with and I can't wait to get my hands on the other styles.

Friend in Me

Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day weekend! 

I had a nice time with my family and hope you did too.  If you missed Saturday's post - be sure to scroll down and check it out.

Today's card uses the stamp set, Cheep Talk - and this time I used the set without the birds to show it's versatility.

If you enlarge the photo and look closely, you'll notice the patterned Kraft paper.  It is from the Taste of Textiles collection.  As mentioned in an earlier post, it is difficult to get the full effect of the Textiles collection, unless you see it in person.  But I can guarantee you that you'd love it!

Blue, Brown and Beautiful

I have to say - this is probably the prettiest card I've made to date.

With the Valet Ribbon Originals all tied up in a bow and it's shiny Bronze Metallic cardstock glistening beneath the Baja Breeze circles ...  I can easily categorize this as a girly card.

Neither this photo or the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, will do the Bronze Metallic cardstock justice.  So, I say - order a pack for yourself so you can see just how beautiful it is in real life!  Go for it!

TIP:  Consider splitting orders with a friend.  There are so many Stampin' Up! products that make it easy to do a share.
