Wish Big (Blog Candy)

Here's a Kwik & Kool card I made over the weekend.  In yesterday's post, I mentioned my paper hoarding problem.  Well, this card was created with the same thought in mind - use, don't hoard! 

One can never have too many birthday cards on hand.  So, I decided to make this simple card by using the Hand Drawn designer series paper (DSP).  The notepad look of this DSP is just too fun! 

How did I make this Kwik & Kool card? 

• I simply layered a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" DSP on top of a Riding Hood Red cardstock
• Bent the bottom right corner of the DSP to show off the pretty side hiding underneath
• Pierced holes in the bottom right corner for added interest
• Threaded a button with a sliver of cardstock
• Stamped the "wish big" sentiment using my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig

Crazy for Cupcakes Card

I'm sorry I wasn't able to share any cards over the weekend... but I am a bit under the weather.  The family cold and possibly flu has finally made it's way to me.  Bummer.

I was able to create one card last night and here it is. 

Hopefully I'll be feeling better soon, so I can share more Kreations with you here.  For now, I have to get some rest so I can think straight.

Blue, Brown and Beautiful

I have to say - this is probably the prettiest card I've made to date.

With the Valet Ribbon Originals all tied up in a bow and it's shiny Bronze Metallic cardstock glistening beneath the Baja Breeze circles ...  I can easily categorize this as a girly card.

Neither this photo or the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, will do the Bronze Metallic cardstock justice.  So, I say - order a pack for yourself so you can see just how beautiful it is in real life!  Go for it!

TIP:  Consider splitting orders with a friend.  There are so many Stampin' Up! products that make it easy to do a share. 

Taste of Textiles Specialty Paper:  You get a total of 10 sheets, 2 each of 5 paper styles.  105 lb. Cover Bronze Metallic, 80 lb. Coated White Pin Stripe, 80 lb. Cover Black Linen Texture, Printed Kraft Card Stock Close to Cocoa, and 48 lb. Clear Vellum printed with Not Quite Navy Polka Dots.

I'm back ... just a few things to note about this card.  The stamp sets used here are Full of Life (sentiment) and Darling Dots (hostess level 1).  The designer paper used is from the hostess level III bundle called Hand Drawn.

The Full of Life set is now on the dormant list, which means it's not featured in the current catalog, but is still available for purchase.  Check out the dormant list (and see the end of this post for an image shot).

Do you ever find that you browse the catalog and don't notice a set?  I did that with Full of Life, but I recently borrowed this set from my Aunt (thank you!).   I instantly fell in love with the sentiments, font, and look of the image it produced when inked up.
