Below are two gifts for my son's daycare teachers.  A few weekends ago, I went to Bath & Body Works for some Christmas gifts.  I found these cute Evergreen room sprays there and knew they'd find a good home.

I recycled a few cell phone accessory packages to house these gifts.  I traced the back to create a template so I could insert some pretty Designer Series Paper.  Here, I used two prints from the "Ski Slope"collection.

I used some Stampin' Up! rub-on's for the sentiments along the top of each package.  Then, I simply tied a piece of Alpine Ribbon (found in the Holiday Mini Catalog) to the top and was done with these gifts.

A very quick post today to share more "treat totes"...

I found this easy to follow tutorial from Jamie, over at Stamping Mommy of 4.  I've been dying to make use of it and I finally sat down to do so last night.

Let me tell you - this is the most fun I've had stamping in a long time!  These came together quickly and the end result is SO adorable.

Think of the many uses for these holders.  Hot cocoa, candy (like Jamie did), jewelry, or even Gingerbread cookies like I have here.  Inside each holder is a small Stampin' Up! cello bag, that is stapled to the back side of the treat holder.

Personally, the card candy is MY favorite part of the gift set I created.  Sticking with the theme, I used Frosty Day designer series paper and coordinating colors. 

But, to switch things up, I used the "Deer Friends" (Hostess Level II) stamp set to create my card candy.  NOTE:  The letters are stamped using a non-Stampin' Up! alphabet set.  It's the only alpha set I own - guess I know what to add to my wish list.

Frosty Day Gift Set

Today, I am sharing with you another shot of the box that includes a peek at some treat holders.  I am also going to show you the other two cards that I created for this gift set.

The card pictured right, featuring Kiwi Kiss, uses a Vanilla Hodgepodge sentiment frame.  Isn't it a cool way to showcase the stamp from "Winter Post"? 

Pictured below is the other shot of the gift box.  You'll notice three little treat holders.  I die cut three different patterns of the Frosty Day DSP using the Top Note Die. 

To make the treat holders, I simply folded the Top Notes in half, punched a hole in the side using a Crop-o-Dile, and threaded some pretty ribbon through each one.  Inside each one you'll find two Bogdon's dark chocolate covered peppermint sticks (found mine at Walgreens).  What a quick and easy gift!

Me - In the Spotlight

Longer post than normal today - but I hope you stick around to read and enjoy my Kreations. 

I am honored to say that I am guest stamper over at Stampin' Pretty today.  Mary's work is nothing short of amazing.  Every day, I visit her blog (OK, stalk her blog) to see what magical creation is just waiting to be admired.  Take a peek at her site, I know you'll find something to inspire you.

I created this box (tutorial found here) using Close to Cocoa card stock to hold size A2 (regular size) cards.  Scroll down to see what's inside!  When I was thinking about the project I wanted to create for my day in the spotlight - I knew I wanted to do something related to Christmas.

You may have noticed by now that I don't lean towards traditional holiday colors.  So, I figured - why stray now?  I reached for my Frosty Day Designer Series Paper (DSP), which coordinates with Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss (both In Colors), Bashful Blue (Soft Subtles) and Close to Cocoa (Earth Elements).

Voila!, I had a color palate to work with and I was off to create.  TIP:  If you want help coordinating your Stampin' Up! DSP with cardstock, check out this handy reference sheet.  I use it almost every time I stamp.

I made a total of four coordinating cards to go inside the box.  Featured here are two of the four (the other two will be posted tomorrow).

Using the "Winter Post" stamp set, and "Old Saint Nick" rub-on's, I created these Kwik & Kool cards.

If you look closely (click to enlarge) you'll notice I even used a rub-on snowflake on the Bashful Blue brad.  Added touch for a "wow" effect.

NOTE:  Over the next few days, I'll have the other two cards to show you along with the other "goodies" that are inside the gift box.

Ahoy!

After making my son's 5th birthday invitations, I felt the urge to continue playing  with the "Ahoy, Matey" stamp set. 

I participated in last week's SCS sketch challenge, ways to use it challenge, and a challenge to use buttons - all in this one card. 

The base of the card is Kiwi Kiss and I used two different Designer Series Papers (DSP).  The blue argyle is from the collection called Frosty Day and the Kiwi Kiss circular pattern is from Haiku.

Baby Wipe

Did you know that a baby wipe has more than one use? 

Well, I had seen a technique called "baby wipe" for some time now over at Splitcoaststampers.  But this weekend, I finally tried it out at a stamping event.

I came home yesterday after making 12 cards at the event and couldn't wait to try out the new technique. 

Using a baby wipe allows you to make a custom ink pad.  You'll notice in my Kreation above that my leaves from the "Best Wishes & More" stamp set are multicolored.  I achieved this look by using my reinkers and a baby wipe.  It is a super simple technique that packs a WOW effect.

Friend of Bill W.

This card was made for someone very special.  He's a "Friend of Bill W's" and also one of my closest friends. 

Who is he?  His name is Mike and he's my Dad.  

September 25th marked his 25th Sobriety Anniversary.  I'm a little behind in congratulating you, sorry about that Dad!  But that doesn't make my message any less important.  I am PROUD to call you my Father, my friend, and most of all my Dad. 

I always remember a frame that sat on the dresser in your bedroom that read "Any man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad".  And it's true, you are that special someone.

CONGRATS Dad, on winning the fight against alcoholism for another year!  I am honored to be your Daughter and so grateful Devlin has such a caring Peepa!

Cheery Christmas

Is this a cheery Christmas card or what? 

Everything about this card just "screams" happy to me.  The stamp set I chose to showcase today is called "Holiday Trinkets", it consists of 4 die cut images and is only $15.95!

You can get a lot of bang for your buck using this set.  Think about the possibilities with the star image alone... doesn't have to be used as a Christmas image.  Think new baby or congratulations.  The only limit on options is your imagination.

I started my cheery card by selecting the Designer Series Paper (DSP) I wanted to use.  This DSP is called Frosty Day from the upcoming Holiday Mini catalog.

The main thing I wanted to mention about this card is that the sentiment is a Rub-On from the Chit Chat collection.  These rub-on's are so versatile... I was able to cut the sentiment in half which allowed me to position my Christmas Cheer just the way I wanted.
