The Notebook

I'm sharing with you today a really fun & easy project.

This junior notebook holder was a blast to create.  Done up in Rose Red, Close to Cocoa - it's all decked out just waiting for someone to write in it.

I found the template on this post, by the talented Nichole Heady. 

On the front of my notebook holder is some Sweet Pea Felt (item #117266, $7.95) and a strip of Love Me designer paper.

Inside you'll find two junior notepads and there is a little slot on the back (not pictured) for storing receipts or coupons.

This would make a great gift for someone special.  Think Valentine's Day!  Use the notepad to list groceries and tuck coupons in the back slot.  What a pretty "to do" list this would make. 

The ideas are limited only by your imagination.  What would YOU do with a notebook like this?

My Digital Studio (Favors)

Using a photo of my Mom as a child, I created these customized birthday favors using My Digital Studio (MDS).

I simply added the photo to a page in MDS, then inserted white cardstock and added text on top of the cardstock. 

I exported the finished photo as a JPG file, printed it out, added it to my pink favor box, and adhered a half back pearl from the Pretties Kit to create the look of an earring.

Everyone LOVED how these turned out - they were so easy to create and so fun to present at the table. 

Below you'll see a photo of the ladies who lunched with my Mom on her special day.  She sure has a great support group!

I have been dying to use the Holiday Lounge designer paper.

With it's funky, bold, and retro patterns - it's a collection I knew I needed for this holiday season.

Using a fun envelope portfolio idea I CASE'd from my friend, Kim, I made this simple set of note cards.

This is a very quick project - go ahead and make a few card sets for friends & family!  One of the best gifts in my mind is one that is handmade and comes from the heart.

Pals Paper Arts (PPA17)

You'll notice that I flipped the sketch on it's side for my creation.  I also substituted square images for round ones.

Using the Love Me designer paper (currently found on the clearance rack for only $3.99) I created a non-traditional holiday card.  I have been dying to use this color combination for weeks now and I am so happy I finally got the chance to try it out.

I'm sure you'll see it around here again before the holidays are over.  I envision using the hostess level 1 set, Patterned Pines with this color combo.

Picture these pines in yummy colors such as Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal, and Close to Cocoa.  Oh, I can't wait!  I've already made a card with these trees in Basic Black, if you missed it, check it out here.

On my PPA submission I used the set called Sweet Season and omitted parts of an image using my Stampin' Write markers.  The result ... 3 adorable holiday houses.
