My submission for the design team inspiration is a simple set of Christmas Cards.  Using the theme, Christmas Cheer, I was quickly drawn to the Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper.  

There is no way to do this paper justice without seeing it in person.  You get flocked designs along with metallic accented paper. 

It is GORGEOUS!!

Now, onto the cards... I am loving the simplicity of this set.  I used the layout found at  the Clean & Simple Stamping blog.  If you follow my blog, you may notice that I am a HUGE fan of clean & simple cards. 

 

The holiday's are typically a very busy time of year for my family.  But this year, my goal is to slow down, take it all in, and enjoy the Christmas cheer with loved ones.  With my Mom's cancer and my Dad going to Iraq in January - it's going to be a bittersweet holiday.

"I am an organizer by heart but I have not yet reached a true organized way to store my stampin' products. I did purchase a six drawer cart which I use the 6 drawers for different items. I also bought 2 rubbermaid see through plastic containers to hold my stamp sets and I have printed and assembled a book of all the stamps I have (because I forget). I have another card index box which I store my punches in and my paper, that sits on top of my 6-drawer cart."

Voilà

I have added a new stamp set to my collection ... called Voila. 

This fun chef has a platter that can hold just about anything.  You can see the full set at the end of this post - also note that there is an extender set for purchase called "Voila to Go" (item #11504).

For my card, I used the Tart & Tangy set to put a giant apple on his platter.  Thought it would add a bit of whimsy and would also be a fun birthday card for a teacher.  NOTE:  When stamping - you have free reign to stamp however you please.  I realize this apple isn't proportional in size to Mr. Chef, but that's what makes it fun! 

I'll be celebrating my own birthday on July 5.  Every year, it's like 4th of July fireworks are going off just for me.  :)  Hope you have a great holiday weekend.

Inspiration Time!

This card was inspired by a recent purchase of mine.  I found this bright floral bag and instantly fell in love.
