These posts were taken from the My Digital Studio blog... they are NOT my own posts or my own creations. I want to share with you the project inspiration using the FREE downloads!
Stampin' Up!'s very own My Digital Studio expert, Sara Douglass, debuts on today’s Creating Keepsakes’ blog. In usual style, she shares adorable projects (using our FREE Digital Scrapbooking Day downloads, of course). You won’t want to miss the project showcasing her adventurous mom, Shelli (who also happens to be Stampin’ Up!’s cofounder and CEO), mid-skydive! And make sure to check out her cute project showcasing her gorgeous family (it’s hard to believe that Sara—such a young, sassy thing—has five kids!). Take a look.

There are few things that I get more excited about than NEW My Digital Studio downloads . . . but FREE My Digital Studio downloads is definitely one of them! I was so excited when I got the chance to preview and create with these new free digital downloads that Stampin’ Up! has given us for Digital Scrapbooking Day.
I have been inspired a lot recently by all of the fantastic home décor options and samples I’ve seen everywhere on-line and here on MyDigitalStudio.net. So when I saw the embellishments included with the Home For the Holiday Ensemble, it took me all of two seconds to decide what I wanted to do and about 90 more seconds to finish my project. Okay, so maybe not that quick – but pretty close. It was maybe five minutes top!
I plan on printing this for my wall, as well as ordering a few extras as gifts. I think I will personalize those with the family’s name in the snow.
I was also super excited when I saw that we were getting NEW Digital Tape colors! I LOVE our digital tape, and I know that the look of tape is SO on-trend right now. I searched through some of the pages I have created this year and realized that my oldest “little guy” didn’t have as many pages as his two little brothers. That was easy to change. I decided to choose these pictures of him playing T-Ball when I saw some of the great phrases in the So Typefelt Stamp Brush Set.
Thank you Stampin’ Up! for these awesome free downloads! I know I will be getting a LOT of use out of them!

In the flurry of holiday cards and pages this week, I was at a loss for how I might make my contribution to this digital celebration unique. I’m not the greatest designer in the world or even on the Stampin’ Up! web team. There is some serious talent coming in, as I’m sure you can see. As a result, I asked around the office and got some great ideas from designers that are the greatest in the world. I’m glad I did.
I decided on taking my project off the page and on to my son, Tré. Not that I would use my son as a canvas, or even exploit the overall cute factor that a one-year-old exhibits. Okay, maybe that’s exactly what I’m doing, but tell me if I’m wrong to do it after you see him.
It was my first time doing a project like this, so I kept it simple. I used the So Typefelt Stamp Brush Set and matched a few of the phrases to images of Tré. I used the mini stitch from the Downtown Grunge Photobook Template to give the image in the iron-on a stitched-on feel. After a run through the printer with some iron-on transfer sheets, I cut and placed them on the one-pieces, and I was done.
Here is the page I printed on the iron-on.
Here are the one-pieces after cutting and ironing.
And here is Tré, twelve months of wiggle and all, in the final product.
Now Tré can make a Typefelt statement, and I can say I’m a better designer for it.
