In With the New

It's been a while since I've posted one of my creations.  I apologize for the lapse in posting ... but I've been a busy bee in the non-stamping world.

I had a few spare minutes the other night, so I took the time to stamp this card. 

All three colors on this card are part of the Color Renovation.  Two colors are brand new to Stampin' Up!.  The card base is done in Early Espresso and the yellow you see is called Daffodil Delight.  The third color is a color you may have seen before, called Baja Breeze.  It's making a comeback starting July 1, 2010.

Well, I'm off to get some rest after another long and busy day.  I hope you enjoy this happy creation using the Pick-a-Petal stamp set.

Congratulations Butterfly

A clean & simple (or kwik & kool as I like to call it) congratulations card I made using a few of the single stamps, Butterfly Accent and Fine Flourish.  I also used the Well Scripted stamp set.

All three stamp sets are currently not available for purchase, but I'm crossing my fingers that they will appear in the 2010 - 2011 Idea Book & Catalog (released July 1, 2010).

I did use one of the old In Colors, Pacific Point, that will make it's return in the new catalog.  I am very excited about the "comeback"!!

Ink Pads & Reinkers:  Orders will be filled through May to the best of Stampin' Up!'s ability and while available through June.

Card Stock:  Orders will be substituted with textured, when smooth is no longer available in your favorite color.  This includes both 8 1/2" x 11" and 12" x 12" paper.  You will not be charged extra for the textured paper replacement (should smooth not be available).

Butterfly Bouquet

I have long admired the many paper flower bouquets I've seen on the Internet.

Finally, with some recent purchases of the Big Shot, Beautiful Butterfiles Bigz Die, and Flower Folds Bigz XL die - I was able to create my own!

Workshop of a Lifetime!

At Stampin' Up!, the workshop is at the heart of what we do. Although the workshop experience is rewarding enough in itself, Shelli Gardner will make 24 workshops throughout the US and Canada even more rewarding--by attending and participating in the workshops herself!

The winning demonstrators from the Workshop of a Lifetime Recruiting Challenge were the top recruiters in their respective categories from January 10 - 31, 2010.

My Aunt, Mary Fish (Stampin' Pretty) was one of the winners!  So, I am flying out today to spend the weekend with her in celebration and will be meeting a few fellow Demonstrators as well.  While we won't be able to attend the workshop itself (attendees must be customers, not demonstrators), we will get a chance to meet Shelli Gardner (CEO) in a small setting this Saturday.

Watch her blog, So Shelli, in the coming weeks for an update on Mary's workshop.

Teacher Appreciation

Wanted to share with you, a small gift I made for my son's Kindergarten teacher.

I found a really cool chipboard box shaped like a book at a local craft store (see above and last photo).  I altered it with Kaleidoscope DSP and the new First Day stamp set.
