I've experienced a whirlwind of emotions over the last month. Honestly, I haven't really had time to process any of them.
While my Mom fights the cancer that invades her body, my Dad prepares for deployment to Iraq, I attempt to perform well at my full-time job, try to be a good Mommy and wife, frantically try to keep this blog up-to-date ...
Whew! I decided to finally breathe and take a break from worry. At least for a few moments ...
Last night (tonight as I type) I had full intentions of stamping another project to show off here for you today. But iTunes got in the way and reminded me that sometimes I just need to sit still and "enjoy the silence" or ... should I say the music?
For fun, here's what is on my playlist that is making me happy this very moment.
- NEW John Mayer!! (Battle Studies - Deluxe Version)
- The Veronicas
- Kris Allen
- Dave Matthews (all 77 songs in my iTunes library)
- Sara Bareilles
- The Shins
- Iron & Wine
I hope to get my stamping mojo back and begin posting creations regularly soon. But for now, for today, I'm taking a much needed iBreak for me.
So, what's on YOUR playlist? What music makes YOU happy?
Come back tomorrow to see my Pals Paper Arts submission. Check out our Paper Artist Picks every Wednesday and play in our challenges every Thursday!
To the left is a sneak peek of my submission!
Kris, you deserve a break and I'm glad you took one! What was playing on my MP3 player tonight was the hockey game I was at so I could follow the play-by-play as I watched! The best music was when we scored and won! Nothing like a hockey game to holler it out!

Kris,
You have a lot on your plate. Go right ahead and take as long as a break as you need. Your mom & dad are in my prayers.

Enjoy your much-needed break, Kris. Music is a wonderful tool for helping you relax. Indulge, rest, and take as long as you need. Thinking of you and your family. Lots of hugs to you!

Listen, it's always important to listen to your emotions. The heart is the wisest muscle! Be with your folks, in mind and body and your fans will be here when you get back! We aren't going anywhere!

Kris, spend your time where needed. Stamp and post when you can, but do what you need to do for yourself and your family first. The nice thing about the stamping community is that we are kind, compassionate and supportive of our stamping sisters (and brothers). We will all be here waiting for you. But in the meantime, you and your family are in our thoughts and in our prayers.

Kris, You are definitely doing the right thing. It's important to take a break and recharge your energy. You've been keeping lots of plates in the air these past few months and probably running on a tremendous amount of adrenaline. So, sit back, listen to the music, and follow your inner voice. It will guide you to do what's best for you. Follow it!

As the Doobie Brothers say,
"Music is the Doctor,
Makes you feel like you want to
So listen to the Dr. yeah,
Just like you ought to!
Music is the. Dr. of my soul!"
Sorry the singing doesn't come through on here! You certainly have some interesting artists on your playlist, so I'm sure your soul feels better today. Love the snippet of tomorrow, too!

You don't need us to tell you it's okay to take a break; it seems you body, heart& mind are telling you already......one great thing about stamping, though, is that it DOES help relieve stress and takes you to 'another place', doncha think? Relax; you deserve it!

Prayers going out to your mother and your family. Sometimes you just need to stop and smell the roses and relax for your own sanity.
Hope today is a better one Kris.
