My focus has been on my Mom's health recently ...
I haven't taken much time to create, haven't been "up to" creating. Here is my Mom modeling one of her new wigs two weeks ago in preparation for her pending chemotherapy.
This is my Step-Dad, Ed (Mom calls him Eddie) and my Mom showing off her new Vikings jersey (her oncology nurse gave it to her as a gift). Ed is a long time Minnesota fan, my Mom on the other hand ... simply a Brett Favre fan.
Finally, Ed and my Mom can root on the same team! :)
My Mom was admitted to the hospital last Wednesday and was diagnosed with neutropenia. We think it was a side effect from chemotherapy. She's been through chemo before, but this was a new "chemo cocktail" as she calls it, since the cancer spread further in her body.
She is still in the hospital, with hopes of release by the weekend. So much has happened since these photos were taken - only a few weeks ago. It's amazing how much can change before your very eyes.
Thanks for being patient with me as my family spends much needed time with her.
On a stamping related note, I will be back Thursday with my Pals Paper Arts challenge creation to share. It's a fun one, so stay tuned!
So sorry for your mother's medical issues. I know you are relishing every moment with her. I will be praying.

Kris,
You are so upbeat! Take as much time as you need with your family--it's important! We will be here when you have more time to create. Creating will also relieve some of the stress of your last few weeks. Blessings-Patti

I pray for your Mother's recovery. My sister has been dealing with cancer herself.
Just keep your faith in God, he will see you and your family, through all things.
God Bless you and your Mom.

Now I know where you get your cutie-pie looks; your Mom is darling!!! She looks so young! As my new favorite sentiment for someone down in the dumps goes, remember "If you're feeling blue, try painting yourself a different color". Humor can help get you through difficult times......

Just wanted to say my thoughts and prayers are with your family as your mom fights this. I'm also fairly new to your blog, and love your work. My mom is battling cancer so I know the wide range of emotions you are feeling. I agree that humor can help us all. Hang in there.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family now. My mom is almost a two-time Breast Cancer survivor (Fall 10). Please let us (your blog readers) know if she needs anything. The least we could do is provide a handmade card;o)
