Quickly sharing a card I created using Delightful Decorations.

I've been under the weather for over a week now and my son is sick too. I need to get some rest, but wanted to show you this pretty card I made using Kraft card stock, the new In Colors and Hemp Twine.

Here's a birthday card and gift I put together for my Sister-in-Law, Jessica.
The 3 x 3 cards were one of the make & takes from Convention 2009. I thought she'd enjoy these little note cards.
Below is a photo of wrapped Hershey nuggets in a hinged tin. I stamped the "chocolate" image on Avery Mailing Labels (size 8160) and wrapped each one.
This was a personalized, fun, easy, and inexpensive gift to make. Sometimes, you make something and it's almost too hard to give away. This was one of those gifts.

Pals Paper Arts challenge number 8 is up!
This

I disassembled a small circle red rhinestone brad to turn him into Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
The interior of my small note card envelope is lined with paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog called Christmas Cocoa Specialty. Photos of this paper do not do it justice.
The designer series paper contains sheets that are flocked as well as some that have a metallic design. It coordinates with Real Red and Soft Suede. TIP: Print this DSP coordinating color chart. It's a handy reference tool to keep in your stamping space.

I received some bad news in relation to my Mom's health this morning, so I'm not feeling up to blogging this evening.
But, I did take some time to release stress through stamping and I wanted to share the results with you. I think the cards turned out very pretty.

I'd like to share with you a very cool CASE (copy and share for everyone) card that I made using My Digital Studio.
The card above is the one I created based on the card below, by Tessa (Crafty Girl Designs). I came across her card on Splitcoaststampers.com and instantly fell in love with it.
I contacted her to ask if she'd mind if I showed her beautiful creation off on my blog. I got the "go ahead" so I wanted to show you how I converted her stamp, paper & ink creation into a digital creation.
I think I may even recreate Tessa's card using stamp, paper & ink. It's just too pretty and creative to pass up!

My Aunt Mary is Marvy!
Some of you "know" her and can attest to that statement.
Not only is she my Upline as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, but also my email buddy, my mentor, and best of all giggling Convention roommate! Oh man, did we laugh!!
This digital card was created with Mary in mind. I wanted to express to her how truly thankful I am to have her in my life and while we now live states apart, she is still near in my heart.
I made this card using a Basic Black grid patterned designer paper found in My Digital Studio. Using the digital stamp set For All You Do, I took this image (see left) in Very Vanilla and used it as a page layer over the grid paper.
The overlay created a really cool effect - something I couldn't accomplish with stamps, ink and paper. You'll notice (click to enlarge) you can see the black grid paper peeking out from beneath the stamp image.
I topped the card off with Brocade Blue grosgrain ribbon (again in digital form) and some pretty Brocade Blue eyelets. TIP: Add a drop shadow to your images. This really makes your card come to life.
My Digital Studio is the most fun I've had creating in a very long time! I hope to share with you some step-by-step tutorials starting in October 2009. So, stay tuned!

Pals Paper Arts challenge number 7 is up and ready for you to play!
This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge. Our sketches are all designed by Margaret Moody. It's a good one, don't you think?
The rules are simple:
You'll notice that for my card today, I simply flipped the sketch on its side. That is the whole intention of sketches - they are open for creative interpretation!
I used a bunch of new goodies on this card - including the Woodgrain background stamp and Extreme Elements stamp set. I absolutely love the possibilities this set holds.
These graphic images allow for some stamping fun. I used the same set, Extreme Elements (item #115181, set of 6, $26.95) on my Pretty in Pink card that I posted yesterday.
While this set seemed very "masculine" to me at first, I quickly realized that it can be used for girlie or gender neutral creations too.
Prepare to see many more creations using this funky stamp set. I even used this set digitally using My Digital Studio on one of my digital scrapbook pages that you can see here (2nd page).
