I used the new Circle Circus set (released for purchase on July 1) to stamp my flower images. I then used the Happy Birthday to You sentiment from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. Using my stamp-a-ma-jig, I aligned the words perfectly around the circle twice.
The stems to these flowers from the Cheep Talk stamp set. I also used the stamp-a-ma-jig to allow for perfect placement of each stem.
NOTE: Find the stamp-a-ma-jig tutorial here.
My birthday is July 5, and I've always enjoyed being able to celebrate with a bang. I enjoy going to the fireworks the night before with my family. Feels like a big party for me too.
So, because I'm thinking about birthdays and the letter C. I want to give one lucky person a fabulous gift.
Comment on this post - tell me what you do special for your birthday.
You could win a copy of the brand new 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog. Get it? The fourth C is for Catalog. If you can't comment here, for technical reasons, feel free to send me an E-Mail instead.
As soon as I receive the catalogs, a brand spankin' new copy will be on it's way to the winner.

Fun card, love how you used the sentiment from Crazy for Cupcakes to go around the Circus Circle image. Now that the kids are grown I spend my birthday crafting as my DH always gets me some kind of craft as a gift. Then out to eat as I never want to cook! jmniffer

I love these bright colors combined with Kraft. And the idea to use the stems from Cheep Talk is brilliant!

Cute card, that Circus Circle set looks like it's going to be very popular. We usually have cake and a special dinner either out or at home, cooked by my oldest daughter. I'm of mexican decent and my birthday falls on Mexican Independence day and we like watching the televised celebrations from Mexico in the evening. I always tell my kids (now 25, 22 & 14) that Mexico went ahead and is celebrating in my honor =), kind of like you on the 4th.
Thanks for the chance to win the new catty!

What an absolutely great card. I tend to prefer the simpler cards because they seem to exude class. This is definitely a classy card! I never stamp without my stamp-a-ma-jig by my side. I don't know who invented it, but I owe many thanks to whoever did!

i have to be honest: when i first saw your card, i thought *oh, great! a non SU! stamp set ... forget that card.* then i read your description. drat. why didnt i get just a teeny tiny bit of your creativity? my birthday? money for SU! for the last four years!!! (plus, i never tell anyone outside of family/best friends when it is - just weird that way). thanks for your beautiful creation done with my FAVORITE neutral card base: kraft!!! i was sort of hoping for a kraft patterns DP this time around, but it was not to be...

What a great card! I love circle images. I thought the 4th C was coincidence because that happens a lot with my cardmaking; I go in my craftroom having an idea and walk out with something totally different. Thanks for the chance to win and for sharing your card.

My daughter's birthday is July 5th, too! No wonder I'm drawn to you and your blog. What do I do special for my birthday? Nothing! I'm turning 63 years young this year and I think I'd rather ignore birthdays from now on!

Curvy! Creative! Cute! Challenging! You have it all, Kris. LOVE how you put the sentiments around the circles. I will have to try that!

Such a clever idea to use the Circle Circus stamps as the flower centers! Very cute card...

Mostly these days (now that I'm about to turn 65 and officially become old) I just want to forget about it. LOL

For birthdays in my family we get to choose where to go out and eat and are pampered for the day. Who would have a better tradition.
Don't you love the new Circle Circus set! You have created such a great card.

I love to go out to lunch or dinner on my birthday. Not very original, but still lovely, especially at places which give you a free dessert on your birthday! :-)

For my birthday I spend it with my family having a special dinner.
