Thank You, You & You

It's been a while since I've sat down and participated in a Splitcoast Challenge.

Well, last night I was in the stamping mood ... and joined in on THREE challenges.  Color challenge CC220, Sketch challenge SC230, and a challenge between a group of fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. 

The Demonstrator challenge was to use the colors for this week on Splitcoast (Bashful Blue, So Saffron & Pumpkin Pie) and throw in a twist of using a punch.

On my card, you'll notice that I used four different punches.  The 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, the word window punch, and the small oval punch.   Whew!  Lots of tools for one little card!

I titled this card You, You, You not only becuase of the obvious reason - the sentiment - but also becuase this card goes out to YOU!  My readers ... who have continued to Buzz By and read my blog - even when I have been too busy to stamp and share.

As a Thank You to my readers - I will be posting a sale very soon that you will not want to miss.  I can give you a little hint ... are you ready?  What's "IN" will soon be "OUT".

"Best Ever" B-Day Bash: Part II

This is still a work in progress as I plan to adhere index cards to each divider - one for each month of the year.  That way, I can list birthday's for my family & friends and always have a hand-made card ready to send.

I punched out coordinating tab dividers in Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White & Kiwi Kiss using my Round Tab punch.  I then glued them to each plastic divider, punched a hole in the center using my Crop-a-Dile and threaded matching ribbon through each hole.

Here's a close up of the dividers out of the box.

Stampin' Up! has recently started their own YouTube channel.  Here you can access multiple videos - such as home decorating ideas, using window sheets, and using the Big Shot.

I am going to Stampin' Up!'s Convention this year, so I hope to meet Shelli in person there.  How exciting!!

Tiny Tassel

Today's project is for my favorite person in the whole wide world!

Even though he's little and just starting out his educational career - I wanted to celebrate his Pre-K Graduation as much as I will when he reaches his high school and college milestones.

Yep, you guessed it - this gift card is for my son, Devlin.  I treasure every minute I spend with him.  He makes me beyond proud to say that I am a Mommy - his Mommy.

In my post yesterday, I recycled the tassel that was on a graduation invite we received.  However, I made my own custom tassel this time around using Real Red grosgrain ribbon.

 

How?

• Using your scissors, cut the ribbon lengthwise 
• After cutting you will be able to pull the ribbon fibers apart
• Bend the fibers in half and voila you have a custom tassel

I hope to create a step-by-step photo tutorial to explain this further, but for now, I hope this explanation gets you started.
