Is tú mo ghrá /Iss two muh guhraw/ - means I love you in Irish Gaelic language.
My husband is Irish and my son's name is Devlin, which is Irish Gaelic and means brave or fierce. So, to honor St. Patrick's Day and my husband's heritage ... I made him a little gift set.
NOTE: The designer paper you see here is a retired collection. Unfortunately, you can no longer purchase it, but I had a few pieces left and it worked perfectly for my project.
You'll see, beneath a piece of vellum, a home-made shamrock. I used the Darling Dots (hostess level 1) and Trendy Trees (the stem) stamp sets to create it. Inside the tin, which is an altered watch gift box - is one green Hostess Sno-Ball. My husband has a sweet tooth so I thought that would fit the bill just right!
I used this simple card sketch for my layout. Following sketches has really amped up my card-making abilities.
Do you follow sketches? If so, I'd love to hear from you - leave a comment letting me know where you find your layouts.
Tonight, we'll be going out for fondue at The Melting Pot. They are having a special St. Patrick's Day menu. My husband & I have both been on Weight Watchers since the beginning of this year, so this will surely be a nice treat.
Here's the menu - doesn't it sound yummy?
First Course
Irish Aged Cheddar Cheese Fondue
Second Course
Spinach Mushroom Salad
Third Course
Beer Marinated Shrimp, Whiskey Soaked Pork Tenderloin, Honey Dijon Chicken, and Mini Spinach & Artichoke Ravioli. All cooked in a Coq Au Vin cooking style with Guinness Extra Stout Beer.
Forth Course
Mint Chocolate Chip Fondue
Hope your Irish eyes are smilin' today!

I am getting to really like all the challenges out there that have sketches to follow... You can find sketches pretty much ANYWHERE! One place is
mojomonday.blogspot.com or
sketchesbytamara.blogspot.com
any place that offers challenges usually have sketches to follow and you can always go through their archives to get their "old" ones that would let you follow, even though you won't be able to enter into that challenge!
Your card and tin are very cute. I hope your husband likes them (sure he will ;) ). Have a great St. Patrick's Day!

Love your card and tin. I like your style a lot. I recently discovered your blog and have been visiting it quite regularly.
I'm still quite new to crafting, so picking up inspiration everywhere. So far I think my styles leaning towards your style.
Anyhoot, I've seen really good sketches from:
