Did you complete your wish list yet?
Yet another pirate themed item to show you... I got this little wooden treasure chest at a local hobby store in town (Hobby Lobby).
Keep in mind this is not complete. I am debating whether or not to embellish it any further or leave it as is. Remember, this is for a 5 year old who will play with the chest like a toy.
I decided to use Stampin' Up!'s silver card stock to cover the top and front of the chest.
Using Versamark, I stamped Matey's Map Jumbo Wheel (currently on the dormant list) on the silver cardstock.
Next, I sprinkled silver embossing powder over the entire sheet of paper and set it with my heat tool.
Rope twine (found in the Holiday Mini Catalog) was adhered using sticky strip to give a more rugged look to the chest.
This is going to be my son's "goody bag "- since he's the birthday boy, I wanted him to get something special. See the other goody bag's I made for the party as well as the invitations I've sent out.

Kris, you've done it again! This is so creative. Leave it as is. It's perfect.
When my son gets a little older, I'm contacting you for ideas! FANTASTIC job with everything. Have a wonderful day!

That silver card stock is going on my next order. I love what you did with the stamping on top. I think it's great the way it is . . . you don't want to risk any embellishments falling off in little hands.
Hugs,
Auntie
