Today, my Mom & I spent 3 1/2 hours stamping, cutting, gluing and assembling 22 of these invitations. I made four different colors for variety (see other photos in my Kreations Gallery). The group shot can be found below.
My son, Devlin is turning Five in early November and we are having a big birthday party for him at Pump it Up! Here he'll jump and play with 25 of his closest friends. I have to laugh when I think of the amount of kids he is allowed to invite. It was near impossible to pick and choose kids from his pre-school class, so we just decided to invite everyone!
These invites were made using the Criss Cross card design, you can find the tutorial here.
The saying is followed by the usual what, where, when, RSVP text. This is all found by pulling out the card from the criss cross base.
On these cards, I used the stamp sets "Ahoy, Matey" and "Matey's Map" (jumbo wheel). Both items can be found on the Stampin' UP! Dormant List. Here you'll find stamps that you can still purchase but that may not necessarily be included in the next catalog release.
So, after nearly 3 1/2 hours, I have to say it was worth our efforts! I will be working on matching goody bags in the next few weeks and will be sure to share photos on my blog.
For today though, I think I've had enough stamping. Off to spend time with my little guy who is growing up way too fast!

I borrowed a saying that I saw on SCS. At the top of the invite, It reads "Shiver Me Timbers, Snakes Alive, Devlin Kilcoyne is Turning Five!"

One of my favorite things you do is a collection of four. Incredibly cohesive with just a color change. Very cool. Hugs, Mary
