Yesterday afternoon, I made this clean and simple (kwik & kool) card for my Dad.
He is celebrating 26 years of sobriety! I like to take time every year to recognize this accomplishment. Here's the card that I made for his 25th year.
So, congratulations Dad on another year of sobriety. We love you!
Here's where I get a little mushy ... it's amazing how much things can change over time. My Dad has been called up for active duty and will be headed to Iraq in January 2010. While this is not new "news", I reflected on his pending departure today.
We see my Dad about once a week, and coming up very soon we'll be without him. His duty should only last 9 months, but one never knows when it comes to the military.
I'm cutting this post short today. I wanted to share my card and my celebration of my Dad. However, I have a lot on my plate personally and emotionally right now ... so I hope you've enjoyed seeing my creation today.
