Kooie

This is one page of an on-going My Digital Studio (MDS) scrapbook I'm creating.

I didn't know this girl featured in the photo above (at the time anyway) ... but, to some members of our family, she was affectionately otherwise known as, Kooie.  To me, she was otherwise known as my Mom and my best friend.

While it's been some time since she passed away (1 year, 5 months, but who's counting?), it seems like only yesterday that I could pick up the phone and talk to her.  I miss her terribly every single day of my life.  There is no one in the world that can replace, or even come close to, the relationship I had with my Mom.

It's hard to look at photos of her, but I love to look back and remember.  Capturing her through a My Digital Studio scrapbook is one way I can honor her life.  It's also a great way to share her memory with family & friends that may not have access to the photos like I do.

So far, I have over 25 pages created in my scrapbook and I plan to add more.  It's been so easy working with the digital products - if I don't like a color scheme, all I have to do is choose another.  With a click of my mouse I can go from Pumpkin Pie patterns designer paper to Old Olive designer paper.  I LOVE that feature of MDS.

Your mom was so extraordinary. She will always have a special place in our hearts. However, I recognize your very special bond. If she were here, however, I would have to tease her about those cat eye glasses! Hugs, M

Kris, I just commented on your digital page on splitcoast. Then, I went to your blog and read your story. Wow. What a wonderful tribute to your mother, and she must have been magnificent to have raised a daughter like you.

OH My!! Those glasses look like the ones I had in 5th grade!! Mine were blue with blue rhinestones on the corners! I can only imagine what your scrapbook memories hold! They will be remembered forever...
